As time goes on, the inevitable happens to all of us: we age. An unfortunate consequence of aging is that our skin dramatically worsens due to collagen loss and repeated exposure to harsh elements (like the sun). Skin especially worsens if it hasn't been taken care of throughout life. However, thanks to modern innovation, there are things that can be done to revive skin, even at 63 years old.

Speak with your dermatologist. He or she will recommend a treatment, such as a skin peel or dermabrasion, best suited for your skin. Skin peels use acids to remove the dead, top layers of your skin. Dermabrasion uses a rotating head that is placed over the skin. Both take off layers of skin, which promotes new cell turnover.

Do microdermabrasion sessions twice a month. Microdermabrasion is commonly done in spas and is a treatment that uses a device that sandblasts your skin with crystals and then removes dead skin cells via a small vacuum; this acts as a deep exfoliation, which stimulates collagen production and improves skin's overall appearance.

Have wrinkle fillers done by a professional. Consult with the professional about which wrinkle filler is best for you and what the possible side effects are. Wrinkle fillers remove wrinkles and also prevent new ones from occurring. Before you get the filler, do research and ask the professional questions about the filler's effectiveness, whether it's FDA-approved and possible allergic reactions.
