A bathing suit wrap, also known as a sarong, is a necessary accessory on the beach or at the pool. Wraps are not only fashionable, but provide needed coverage if you are wearing a revealing swimsuit, if you are sunburned and want to protect yourself, or even if you want to go to a nearby beach store and feel like you want to be covered more than your suit allows.
Spread out the sarong lengthwise. Hold one side with one hand, and the other side with the other hand. Wrap it around your backside at the height of your waist.
Hold each edge of the wrap to your side right above each hip.
Pull the sides of the wrap together around the front of your body. If you want your bathing suit wrap to be centered on your body, pull the sides equally. If you prefer the wrap to be to the side or asymmetrical, pull it more to the right or left.
Eliminate bulkiness by holding the wrap on the right side and folding it to the outside and away from your body. The inside of the wrap will be facing outward.
Take the section of the wrap that you just folded outward, creating a dog ear by bunching it together in your hand. Do the same to the other side.
Bring the dog-eared ends together and tie the ends in the middle or to the side by crisscrossing the end twice. This creates a knot secure enough to hold the wrap for as long as you would like, but also leaves it accessible to retie or tighten as needed.
