How to Get Photo Booth Videos to an iMovie thumbnail
You can import a Photo Booth video into iMovie on a Mac.

Every recently made Mac comes with Photo Booth, a free application for taking pictures and videos through the computer's camera. You can use Photo Booth to record a video of yourself and then email it to a friend. You might also want to edit videos that you shoot with Photo Booth into a movie that you are making with iMovie, the free movie-making application that Apple installs on every recently made Mac.

Instructions

    • 1

Click on the icon of iMovie in the Dock of your Mac to launch the application.

    • 2

Click "File" from the iMovie menu, then click "Import," "Movies." A dialog box opens.

    • 3

Click on your home folder, then click on "Pictures," and then double-click on the Photo Booth folder to open it. A list of the movies that you shot with Photo Booth appears.

    • 4

Click on a Photo Booth movie file from the list to select it.

    • 5

Click "Import." The Photo Booth video now imports into iMovie.
