Instructions

    • 1

Turn the shredder off and unplug it. Wait 20 to 30 minutes to allow the shredder to cool down. This will help if the shredder has stopped because of excessive use.

    • 2

Check the shredder for paper jams and remove all obstructions by hand using a letter opener, tweezers and a can of compressed air.

    • 3

Plug the shredder in and turn the power switch back and forward in the "Reverse and Forward" settings. This should clear any obstruction that you cannot see.

    • 4

Unplug the shredder and oil the blades using oil specifically made for shredders. Go to your local office supply store to get shredder oil if you do not have any.
