How to Right-Click Using the Keyboard

The right mouse button provides shortcuts to many menu items in Windows; some features are only accessible this way. Things You'll Need:

    Using the Keyboard

  1. Step 1

    Position the mouse pointer anywhere on your computer's screen.

  2. Step 2

    Select by (left) clicking if necessary.

  3. Step 3

    Press the Shift and F10 keys simultaneously to right-click.

  4. Using MouseKeys

  5. Step 1

    Set up MouseKeys in the Accessibility Options control panel (if not already turned on). Use the Mouse tab in the control panel.

  6. Step 2

    Position the mouse pointer anywhere on your computer's screen.

  7. Step 3

    Press 5 on the numeric keypad to (left) click.

  8. Step 4

    Press plus sign (+) on numeric keypad to double-click.

  9. Step 5

    Press minus sign (') on numeric keypad to right-click.
