How to Draw a Class Diagram
Drawing a class diagram can be fairly simple. Using a ruler can help you create a cleaner, more structured diagram with more accurate proportions. Sketch the basic design of your classroom and include all important features. Class diagrams can be used in informational packets given to parents at the beginning of the year, submitted to your principal, or used to display a route and rules for fire safety.

1
Think about the shape of your classroom and outline the perimeter of your room. Use a ruler to keep your lines straight and your proportions accurate. Mark any doors or windows clearly by drawing small rectangles or dark lines and writing labels.
-
2
Include important symbols or aspects of the room such as the American flag. Draw other items around the perimeter of the room, such as blackboards, whiteboards, bulletin boards or bookshelves. Include labels. Illustrate major objects that break up the space in the room. For instance, draw tables or desks where they appear and include bookshelves, teacher's desks and chairs, computer areas, meeting areas or rugs. Depict objects as squares, rectangles, or circles. Trace a round object for circles if needed.

Review your diagram and check that all major aspects of the room are included and that the layout is correct. Label each area clearly by writing words inside the shapes or writing outside the diagram and drawing arrows. Show the room's location in the hallway or building if necessary.
