How to Embed a Social Media Signature in an Email thumbnail
Promote your business by marketing your social media profiles.

Social networking profiles can be a great way to promote your businesses or services, but they're no good if no one knows about them. One way to make your social media profiles known is to place a link to them in the signature line of your emails, so every time you send a message, people will have the option of clicking into your profile. To get started, open the profile pages of your various social networking profiles, so you'll have the URL's on hand as you're creating your signature.

Instructions

  1. Gmail

    • 1

Log in to your Gmail account with your username and password.

    • 2

Click the flower-like icon in the top right of the page, then click "Mail settings."

    • 3

Scroll down to "Signature." Choose the email address the signature will be associated with from the dropdown menu.

    • 4

Enter in your Email signature in the text box. Type in "Find me on Facebook," then highlight the words and click the icon that looks like a chain -- known as the "URL" icon. Type the URL for your Facebook profile into the popup box, then click "OK."

    • 5

Repeat the process for any other social networking profiles you have. For example, if you have a Twitter account, type "Follow me on Twitter," highlight the text, and click the "URL" icon to enter in your Twitter account URL.

    • 6

Click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page before you navigate away.

    Hotmail

    • 7

Log in to your Hotmail account with your username and password.

    • 8

Click on the name of the Hotmail account at the top right of the screen, then select "Options."

    • 9

Click "Mail," from the menu on the left of the page, then click "Personal email signature" under the "Writing email" subheading.

    • 10

Type in your email signature in the text box. Key in "Find me on Facebook," then highlight the words and click the icon that looks like a chain with a globe behind it -- known as the "URL" icon. Type in the URL for your Facebook profile into the popup box, then click "OK."

    • 11

Repeat the process for any other social networking profiles you have. For example, if you have a Twitter account, type "Follow me on Twitter," highlight the text, and click the "URL" icon to enter in your Twitter account URL. Click "Save" when you've completed your email signature.

Tips & Warnings
