Use Paint to add text to your pictures

A great image editor is someone that is capable of highlighting essentials details of a picture to the audience. This is especially useful when you are labeling certain parts of a product. An effective way to do this is by adding text to your image. Microsoft's Paint is an application that allows you to perform basic changes to your pictures, including adding text.

      Click on the "Start" menu.

      Click "All Programs" followed by "Paint."

      Add your picture to Paint by clicking the blue "Paint" button from the top of the window followed by "Open" from the menu. Select a picture on your computer, and then click "Open" again. In most cases, the pictures are located in the "Picture Libraries" folder.

      Click the "Home" tab followed by the "Text" (letter "A") icon.

      Click a location on the picture you would like to type. After you click a location to type, a new tab will appear --- the "Text" tab. Click the "Text" tab to access more settings for the text on your picture.

      Edit the text on your picture. In the "Text" tab, there are three groups you can use to edit the text on your picture: font, background and colors. Click the "Font" group to edit the font size, format and style. In the "Background" group, you can make the text opaque or transparent. You can edit the colors of the text in the "Colors" group.

      Save the picture to your computer by clicking the "Paint" button at the top of the window. Click "Save as" from the menu. Choose a location on your computer, and then click "Save."
