How to Answer Why You Should Get a Particular Job
There are many different questions you need to know how to answer for a job interview. No matter what your career level or what type of job you're applying for, certain questions will always pop up during the interview process. One of these questions is why you should get the particular job you're interviewing for over the other candidates. Being able to answer this question without fumbling gives you a better chance at getting the job.

1
Read the job listing and pay attention to the skills, experience, qualifications and personal characteristics the employer wants. This will help you pull from your own experience to answer the question.
-
2
Write down reasons the company should hire you. Focus on relevant skills and experience that you will bring to the job. For a sales position, your list might have items such as a proven record of increasing company sales, the ability to work with diverse groups of people, or strong leadership skills.

Add more specific details to the qualifications you wrote down. Specifics will help show the potential employer why you're the right person for the job. For example, instead of saying "I have a proven track record of increasing sales," say "I increased sales for my previous company by eight percent over a period of six months, and I will use that experience to increase sales here."

4
Practice answering the question. Once you've decided what skills, experience and qualifications you want to discuss, try delivering your answer out loud. It might seem unnatural to boast about yourself, and it can be tough to remember everything you want to say. The more you practice, the better you'll do during the interview.
