Removing glue requires the use of a solvent, such as nail polish remover or Goo Gone, that will break down the hardened glue so that it can be easily wiped away. While this works for most glass surfaces, is is the ones that are uneven or unpolished that can be much harder to remove glue from, since it gets deep into crevices. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Put on your safety gloves. Since this task requires the use of harsh chemicals and sharp blades, choose thick, waterproof gloves.
-
2
Soak a cotton ball in glue solvent, and then begin to dab it onto the hardened glue. Coat the entire surface of the glue with solvent, and continue dabbing until the glue softens. Solvents can be found at most hardware or grocery stores, and include such products as Goo Gone, nail polish remover containing acetone, paint removers, or generic glue removers.

3
Scrub the glue with the solvent-soaked cotton ball somewhat vigorously. This may be all you need to do to remove the glue from your window, dissolving it entirely.
-
4
Hold a razor blade in your hand, and place the sharp, flat end of it on the surface of the glass. Hold the blade at a 45-degree angle toward where the glue is located on the glass. Begin to slide the blade underneath the glue you have treated with solvent, pushing back and forth lightly to cut it away from the glass until it is entirely removed.

5
Wash the surface of the glass with window cleaner and a rag to remove any remnants of glue.
