How to Locate Constellations in Neopets

Using a constellation finder should not require downloading.

Neopets regularly has long-running events, or plots, for players to complete. In order to complete the "Altador Plot," players must locate 14 virtual constellations from the Altadorian observatory. Locating constellations manually is a time-consuming and difficult process. To help players, Neopian fan sites have created automatic constellation finders and walk-throughs. Follow the walk-through of your choice step-by-step to locate coordinates, then enter the coordinates into a constellation finder for your solution.

Instructions

1. Select the Altador Plot walk-through of your choice. Scroll until you find the chapter on constellations. Finding each constellation consists of two parts: locating the earthly and celestial version of the constellation. The earthly version will be well hidden in illustrations of doors, clouds and more. You must locate this version before you can use the constellation finder or telescope. Use the walk-through to locate your first constellation and click it. This will allow you to use the telescope and update your "Star Data."

2. Open the constellation finder of your choice. Follow a provided link to your "Star Data," or manually enter the following web address: http://www.neopets.com/altador/astro.phtml?get_star_data=1

3. Copy the information and enter it into the constellation finder. The finder will provide a list of coordinates. Write them down.

4. Click on the telescope, which is located in the observatory of the "Hall of Heroes" in Altador. Find the coordinates given to you by the constellation finder. Connect the coordinates so they make a shape identical to the physical version of the constellation you saw earlier. Press the "Submit" button.

5. Repeat the process 14 times, until you've located each constellation.

Tips & Warnings

• Neopet's plots are designed to be completed by large groups of people pooling information. Expect finding constellations without a walk-through to be highly difficult.
