How to Reinstall a Tractor Battery
After an extended period of use you may have to replace your tractor battery. Tractor manufacturers usually locate the battery in a readily accessible place. Re-installing a tractor battery is not a complicated job. You need just a few basic tools and some time.

Scrape the inside of the positive battery cable connector with the wire brush. Repeat this on the negative battery cable connector.

Place the tractor battery into the battery compartment. Place the battery-holding clamp in position on the top of the battery. Tighten the holding clamp bolts with the wrench. The battery-holding clamp must be tight enough to hold the battery firmly in place.

Place the red positive battery cable connector on the positive battery post. Tighten the battery connector with the wrench.

Place the negative battery cable connector on the negative battery cable post. Tighten the battery connector with the wrench.

Test the new battery by starting the tractor.

Tips & Warnings
Check with the tractor manufacturer to ensure you have the proper battery for your tractor.
Connecting the battery terminals in the reverse order may cause electrical damage to your tractor.
