1
Brush the hair until it's smooth and shiny with no tangles.
-
2
Part the hair in the middle with a clean part using a comb.
-
-
3
Pick up three small strands of hair at the center back of the head on one side of the part line.
-
4
Braid moving upward and tucking each strand of hair under the middle strand. Add new pieces of hair to the middle strand whenever a new strand is tucked into the braid.
-
5
Turn and braid downward back to the part line at the bottom of the head. This is the first curve in the heart.
-
6
Clip the end of the row so that it keeps its tension.
-
7
Repeat steps 3 through 6 on the other side of the part to form the heart shape.
-
8
Band the two rows together tightly and incorporate them into a larger single corn row braid down the rest of the head. Keep braiding until you reach the end of the hair and band off at the bottom.

Tips & Warnings
For an added touch, place a bow at the bottom of the heart.
Never braid freshly washed hair, as the hair will be too slippery and lose its form.
