Instructions

    • 1

Flat iron your hair so it is perfectly straight. With a very short bob or pixie cut, it should not take much time to flat iron the top and sides of your hair.

    • 2

Section off your hair to create the faux-hawk. Use the pointed end of a rat tail comb to part the hair that is directly above the middle of each eye. Run the comb straight back. Clip the hair section to the top of your head.

    • 3

Rub a quarter size amount of hair wax between your hands.

    • 4

Unclip one of the sides of the faux-hawk and hold the hair up in the air with your hand.

    • 5

Run your hand, which should be covered in hair wax, through each side of your hair while you are holding it in the air.

    • 6

Push both sides of your hair together to form the faux-hawk. If necessary, add some extra wax to shape the faux-hawk to your desired look.

    • 7

      Secure your hair with hairspray.

Tips & Warnings

  • Enhance the alternative or funky look of your faux-hawk by doing your makeup with a gray smoky eye. For extra edge with a rock look add glitter to your eyeshadow.
