How to Make a One Layer Fleece Tie Blanket

You can make a fleece blanket without knowing how to sew.

When you make a no-sew fleece blanket, it is common to use two pieces of fleece that are tied together along the edges. This type of double- fleece blanket is very warm and thick. If you want a thinner blanket, use one layer of polar fleece material.

Things You'll Need

• Polar fleece fabric
• Scissors
• Ruler
• Fabric pencil

Instructions

1. Cut a piece of thick polar fleece into a rectangle that measures 6-feet wide by 8-feet long. It is important to use a thicker fleece, such as polar fleece, which will be more durable and warmer than thinner fleece fabric.

2. Lay the rectangle flat on a table or counter. Using a ruler and a fabric pencil, draw 4-inch lines from the edge of the fabric toward its center. Space out the lines every 2 inches.

3. Cut each drawn mark using scissors. This will create strips of fleece around the perimeter of the rectangle that each measure 2 inches wide by 4 inches long.

4. Tie a knot at the base of each strip to create the blanket's fringe.
