Pick a quiet spot to make phone calls during your lunch hour. Be prepared to take notes during your phone calls by having your computer available or notepad and pen.

Write a list of business calls you need to make with name and contact information. Practice your sales pitch if you are making sales calls. Write down any points related to each business that you need to make.

Return important missed calls first. Call people on your list who live in different time zones. Those with your same time zone take lunch breaks as well, so calling in an appropriate time increases the chances of speaking with the contact.
