How do I Create Photo Collages in Picasa?
After you shoot pictures with a digital camera, cell phone or the built-in camera on your computer, you may want to sort them and assemble them into groups, such as all pictures of your family or pictures of famous landmarks from your vacations. Picasa is a free application available for PCs and Macs that you use to organize and edit your photos and share them online. You might want to look at your pictures arranged into an artistic layout, such as a photo collage. You can easily make photo collages in Picasa.

1
Click on a folder or an album in the list on the left side of the Picasa window to display its pictures.
-
2
Press the "Control" key (Windows) or the "Command" key (Mac), and hold it while clicking on photos to select the ones you want to use to create a collage. Images that you select appear as thumbnails in the photo tray.

-
3
Click the "Collage" button, located in the photo tray, or click the "Create Photo Collage" button in the header of a photo album.
-
4
Click the drop-down menu in the Settings tab, and then click on one of six collage styles: "Picture Pile, " which makes a collage that looks like scattered photos; "Grid," which arranges them into columns and rows; "Mosaic," which fits the photos on the page but not in a grid; "Contact Sheet," which is a set of orderly thumbnails; "Multiple Exposure," where your pictures are superimposed over each other; and "Frame Mosaic," which makes a collage with pictures forming a frame around a larger central photo.
-
5
Click on a photo, and then click the "Remove" button to remove it from a collage.
-
6
Click "Create Collage." Picasa saves your collage in the "Collages" folder, located under "My Pictures" in Picasa for Windows or under "Picasa" in Picasa for Mac.
