A business card gives basic details you want the recipient to remember about you such as your name, your employer -- or your business name -- and your contact information. You can also list your educational qualifications on your business card, which may boost your credibility depending on the profession. Typically, you don't list non-specialized education credentials, such as an associate, bachelor's or master's degree, on a business card.

Follow Your Name

If the standard for your profession is to list degrees on a business card -- healthcare professionals, for example, often list their licensed credential plus their advanced degrees on their business cards -- typically, you list them following your name and a comma. So, for example, a registered dietitian who also holds a master of science degree might list her education credentials on a business card as follows: Jane Smith, RD, MS. A physician lists his degree: John Martin, MD.
