Bio-Engineered Supplements & Nutrition (BSN) manufactures and sells its Cellmass creatine-containing sports supplement. Creatine is a naturally occurring enzyme used in human muscle tissue, produced by the kidneys and liver and found in foods such as red meat, poultry and fish. This enzyme helps muscle cells produce more energy during workouts. Many athletes take creatine to increase strength, add muscle and improve explosiveness during short-term activities such as sprinting. Cellmass contains over four grams of various forms of creatine.

Training Day Instructions

Complete your daily workout. BSN recommends drinking Cellmass before eating anything after your workout.

Add one level scoop of Cellmass to a shaker bottle or glass. Pour in 4 to 6 ounces of cold water, grape juice or another beverage of your choice that will adjust the taste of Cellmass to your liking. Bodybuilding website suggests that users taking creatine with juice should consume 100 grams of low-sugar juice for every 5 grams of creatine.

Stir with a spoon or fork to dissolve the Cellmass in the water or juice. The Supplement Critic website reports that Cellmass tends to clump in water.

Drink the Cellmass and water or juice mixture.

Mix another serving of one-scoop Cellmass and 4 to 6 ounces of water or juice about eight hours after you take this first serving and either 45 minutes before eating or two hours after eating. Drink on an empty stomach.

Non-triaining Day Instructions

Add one scoop of Cellmass to a shaker bottle or mixing cup.

Pour in 4 to 6 ounces of cold water or juice and use a spoon to dissolve the Cellmass in the water.

Drink the Cellmass and water or juice mixture after you wake up in the morning but before having breakfast.

Prepare another mixture of Cellmass and water (or juice) about six to eight hours after you take the first dose. Drink this second serving at least two hours after eating or 45 minutes before eating. BSN recommends always taking creatine on an empty stomach to achieve best results from this product.

Tips & Warnings

  • BSN recommends taking a minimum of 120 ounces of water each day that you take Cellmass as extra water will yield the full effects of this supplement. If you engage in weightlifting, eat enough protein each day so that your muscles recover from each workout.
  • Creatine can cause a number of side effects, including allergic reactions. Please see Resource 1 for a full list of potential side effects. The Mayo Clinic recommends that individuals with existing kidney diseases should not take creatine-containing supplements such as Cellmass.
