Shampoo, condition and moisturize your hair as usual. It's okay to leave it a little damp. Apply gel to your hairline, as little or as much as your hair type requires to lie smooth and flat.
-
2
Brush your hair back or smooth back your hair with hands. Make sure you have incorporated all of the gel you applied. When your hair is as smooth as you can get it, secure it into a high ponytail with an elastic ponytail holder.

3
Twist your ponytail clockwise repeatedly until it starts to form a coil. Continue twisting downward until you have coiled your hair unto a tight bun. Secure with hair pins.
-
4
Attach your clip on ponytail. Squeeze the clip on either side to open it and place it over the base of your bun. Make sure the hair pins are covered. Release the clip to close it.

5
Fluff the clip-on ponytail to ensure the fake hair covers your bun completely.
