How to Turn on the Pop Up Blocker in Windows
Windows' Internet Explorer browser includes a pop-up blocker that protects your computer from annoying and malicious activity. Pop-ups can take over your computer by blanketing your desktop with ads and banners; even if you close them, they can reopen themselves. Pop-ups can even disguise programs that attack your computer by installing spyware, viruses or malware. The Internet Explorer pop-up blocker is turned on by default. If pop-ups start appearing, it may be disabled. Re-enable it in Internet Explorer.
