Despite the name, a Kroger Plus Card is the basic money-saving card offered by the grocery store chain. Anyone can apply for one in-store or online. The card is also valid at the Kroger family of stores including Dillons, Fred Meyer, Fry's, QFC, Ralphs and Smith's.
Ask any cashier or the customer service desk for a Plus Card application. The short application asks for your name, address and phone number. Once you fill it out and hand it back into the cashier, you can use your Plus Card right away.
You can also create an online account at the Kroger website and get a virtual Plus Card number. After filling in your email address and creating a password, click on "Create Account" and from there you can create your virtual card number. You'll enter your name and phone number and pick a 10-digit number.
Many Kroger customers choose their phone number for their virtual card number.
