How to Get PC Defender Off My Computer
PC Defender is a fake program that secretly installs on your computer as a legitimate anti-virus program. Once installed, the program launches automatically when you start your computer, runs bogus scans and displays numerous reports claiming your computer is infected with dangerous programs such as viruses, Trojans and spyware. Because PC Defender is a rogue program, uninstall it from your computer quickly and safely.

Press "Ctrl," "Alt" and "Delete" together to launch the Windows Task Manager. Click the "Processes" tab.

Scroll down the list of running processes and click each of the following processes individually:
Antispyware.exe
proccheck.exe
Click "End Process" after each entry.

Double-click "Computer" on the desktop and then click the "C:" drive. Double-click the "Program Files" folder. Locate the "PC Defender" folder and delete it.

Click the "Start" button, type "regedit" (without quotes) in the search box and press "Enter" to launch the Registry Editor.

Click the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" folder, and then click the "SOFTWARE" folder. Right-click "Pc Defender Antivirus" and click "Delete."

Click the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" folder, the "Software" folder, the "Microsoft" folder, the "Windows" folder, the "CurrentVersion," and finally, click the "Run" folder. Right-click "Pc Defender Antivirus" and click "Delete."

Click the "Start" button. Using the search box, search for the following files:
Pc Defender Antivirus.lnk
Pc Defender Antivirus
Once Windows locates the files, right-click them and click "Delete."
