After you've settled into your new apartment or home, it's important to update your voter registration information so that you can continue to vote in elections. The Harris County, Texas, voter registrar's office requires residents to request a voter registration address change in writing. You can conveniently update your address online or by changing your address on your current voter registration card.

Instructions

1. Follow the instructions on your current voter registration card to update your address.

2. Access the Harris County Voter Registrar's official web page to download a voter registration change form. Click the link corresponding to your language preference. For example, select the "Download an Application in English," if English is your language preference.

3. Complete the request. After confirming that you are a U.S. citizen, you will be granted access to the form. Enter all required information into each blank field and click the box next to "Change." Be sure to have your Texas driver's license number handy since it's required on the application. After completing each section, click "Submit."
