How to Send a PS3 Audio to a Bluetooth

Sony's PlayStation 3 is compatible right out of the box with Bluetooth wireless headsets. This allows you to communicate with players in online video games or even listen to the audio from the system over the headset as opposed to your TV's speakers. For whatever reason, you can set up a Bluetooth headset with your PS3 in just a few minutes.

  • Turn on your Sony PS3 console. Turn on the Bluetooth headset via the button located on the side of the headset.

  • Press the Bluetooth headset's "scanning" button on the side of the headset until the indicator light illuminates and does not shut off. This places your Bluetooth headset in "scanning" mode, which makes it visible to the PS3 console.

  • Navigate to the "Settings" PlayStation 3 menu. Select "Accessory Settings."

  • Choose "Manage Bluetooth Devices." From this menu, select "Register New Device." Select the listing for your Bluetooth headset from the list on your PS3. Enter your headset's passcode into your PS3 using the controller (this passcode will be listed in your Bluetooth headset's manual). This pairs the Bluetooth headset with the console, allowing you to hear the audio from your PS3 through its speakers.
