How to Do a Tequilla Shot
Doing a shot of tequila is a bar tradition enjoyed by everyone from college kids on spring break to businessmen celebrating a major deal. There is a ritual to shooting tequila, and etiquette is involved when doing the shot with friends, too: Everyone toasts each other and drinks the shot at the same time, and the shot should be drunk in one gulp. Things You'll Need
- Shot of chilled premium tequila in a caballito glass
- Salt shaker
- Lime wedge

Lick the webbing between your thumb and index finger on your non-dominant hand. (That means that if you're right-handed, lick the webbing on your left hand, and vice versa.)

Sprinkle some salt on the webbing of your hand with a salt shaker.

Pick up a lime wedge with the thumb and index finger on your non-dominant hand. Pick up a shot of chilled premium tequila in a caballito glass in your dominant hand.

Lick the salt off the webbing of your non-dominant hand.

Drink the tequila in one gulp.

Bite into the lime, then chew and swallow the pulp and juice.
