How to Sight a Px4 Storm

The Beretta PX4 Storm is a lightweight, polymer-frame pistol intended for self-defense for law enforcement officers and civilians. This pistol features a three-dot luminescent sight system on a standard dovetail. To ensure precision accuracy when firing the PX4 Storm, proper sight picture must be acquired prior to firing a shot. The process for sighting in the PX4 Storm is a standard sighting procedure for most handguns that feature a three-dot sight system.

Instructions

    • 1

Make sure the weapon's safety is engaged. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart. Grip the pistol with your dominant hand. Cup your other hand under the magazine.

    • 2

Raise the pistol to eye level and point the muzzle at the target bull's-eye. Disengage the safety with your thumb.

    • 3

Concentrate on the front sight post's illuminated dot. Center the front sight post in the rear sight fork. Ensure that the dot on the front sight and the two dots on the rear sight form a straight line.

    • 4

Let the rear sight blur in your vision. Concentrate on the front sight. Keeping both the front and rear sights aligned, position the front sight at the 6 O'clock position on the bull's-eye. Pull the trigger.

Tips & Warnings

  • The idea is to position the front sight dot slightly under the bull's-eye. This will look somewhat like an upside down snowman. Proper sight picture will appear as a large circle (the bull's-eye) on top of the front sight dot.

  • Never point a loaded weapon at anything you do not intend to shoot.

  • Never store a loaded weapon.
