How to Get a Transcript of Previous Text Messages
Text message service is a convenient way to keep in touch with friends and family, no matter where you are. It is particularly effective if you do not enjoy talking or the phone or if you need to contact someone who cannot immediately answer. When you receive sensitive, confidential or otherwise important information in a text message, you may want to get a transcript of the message. The easiest way to get a transcript of your texts is to forward them to your email account. From there, you can print a message and save it in your files.

Open the messages that you wish to download from your device. For example, if you have a Windows Mobile phone, press "Start," select "Messages" and open your desired message.

Select the option on your phone that allows you to forward the message. For example, T-Mobile Dash users press "Menu," "Reply" and "Forward."

Enter your email address in the "To:" field. If you want an original transcript, do not edit the text message. However, add or erase any information that you choose.

Press "Send" to forward the message to your email address.

Check your email address to retrieve the message. Select the "Print" option to print a copy of the message.
