Finding Articles Through Archives

1. Determine the type of old newspaper and magazine articles that you are looking for. Once you know what you're looking for it will be easier to find.

2. Go to the library. They have archives of old newspapers and magazines that you can search through for free. They are more than likely kept on microfiche so be sure to ask the librarian about where to find the archives.

3. Search the archives. It might take you hours to find what you are looking for, but you should be able to find what you are looking for.

Finding Free Articles on the Internet

1. Type in the name or subject of the article that you are looking for. There likely will be many results that come up.

2. Scroll through the options on the screen that you were provided with. You may have to go through several pages to find the one that you are looking for.

3. Select the article that is the most accurate to the topic you were looking for.

4. Look through the Google News archives to find what you are looking for. Google News archives thousands of articles everyday, and sorts them out by topic to make it easier to find what you are looking for.

• Ask your grandparents, or older relatives about old newspaper articles. It is likely that they will have some.
