1
Turn your T-shirt inside out. Then, pin the bottom of the T-shirt along the hem.
-
2
Use a sewing machine to sew the bottom of the t-shirt closed. You can also opt to hand-sew the bottom if you prefer.
-
-
3
Flip the T-shirt right side out, laying the shirt flat and ironing if necessary to make sure all the seams are lined up properly.
-
4
Enlarge the neckline of the t-shirt by cutting out a larger hole from that area. You can use a mixing bowl as a guide to create a sufficiently large opening.
-
5
Line up the hems on both sides of the sleeve and cut them off, making sure to cut through the front and back. Then repeat on the other sleeve. This will create simple straps without having to sew anything.
-
6
Turn the T-shirt right side out and use as your hobo bag. The areas where you cut off the sleeves will be your handles and you can fill it with your wallet, books, accessories and anything else you will need on the go.
