How to Get Notified of Posts to Your Fan Page

Consumer engagement, transparency and open dialogue are what drive business success in an age of multimedia and information. One of the most popular ways entities connect with consumers today is through Facebook fan pages. Unlike personal Facebook pages, fan pages do not have a built-in feature to generate e-mail notifications of posts and comments to the page. However, there are alternative solutions through which businesses, artists and public figures can stay connected, sharing and exchanging information in real time.

Instructions

Receive notifications about your fan page

1. Log in to your Facebook fan page.

2. Click "Account" and "Account Settings" from the drop-down menu.

3. Select "Notifications" from the top options bar.

4. Select "Links" under "View settings for" to the right of the screen.

5. Click the white boxes to activate email notifications for comments on your links and comments after you on a link.

6. Click "Save Changes" and you are done.

Install a fan page notification application

1. Visit www.fanpagenotifier.com and click "Connect with Facebook."

2. Log in to your Facebook account.

3. Give permission for Fan Page Notifier to connect with your Facebook account. Select "Allow" to continue.

4. Select "Get notified for new posts or comments made by fans." Click "Update," and you are done.

Get notified of new posts and comments on your favorite pages

1. Log in to your personal Facebook account.

2. Become a fan of your own page.

3. Click "View app."

4. Select "Add to my page."

5. From the pop up, select the fan page you would like to add the app to and close.
