How to Remove Indents in MS Word

Microsoft Word has many different formatting options you can use to customize the look of your documents. Indents move the text of a paragraph or line a set distance from the page margin; you can indent text from either the left or right margin. If you set an indent and want to remove it, you can for the entire document, line or paragraph.
Step 1
Highlight the text that has the indent you want to remove.
Step 2
Click "Page Layout."
Step 3
Click "Paragraph."
Step 4
Click the arrow next to either "Right Indent" or "Left Indent" to change or completely remove the indent.
