Butter Braid Cooking Directions
Butter Braid is the name brand of a frozen fruit pastry sold as a fundraiser by schools, sports teams and other groups. A butter-based yeast dough is braided around a fruit filling. You bake the Butter Braid at home and top it with icing. The Butter Braid company recommends you bake your Butter Braid within 6 weeks of receiving it. Does this Spark an idea?

Spray the cookie sheet with cooking spray. Remove the frozen Butter Braid from the package and place it on the pan.

Cover the Butter Braid with plastic wrap and allow it to thaw at approximately 70 degrees for 8 to 12 hours or overnight. The Butter Braid will approximately double in size.

Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Uncover the Butter Braid and bake until golden brown, approximately 22 to 27 minutes.

Let the Butter Braid cool for 10 minutes. Cut off one corner of the icing packet. Drizzle icing over the Butter Braid.

Slice the pastry with a serrated knife.
