How to Embed a Webpage With Google Gadgets

Google is an Internet company based in Mountain View, Calif., that specializes in search, cloud computing and online advertising. The company also provides tools for Web developers to add features and functionality to their websites. Google Gadgets are simple HTML and JavaScript applications available for free that are added to webpages. There are tens of thousands of gadgets available that include news, games, sports, lifestyle and tools. Add one or more gadgets to your webpages to make your site even more dynamic.

      Open any Web browser and go to the Google Gadgets Directory (see Resources).

      Click the "Add to your webpage" button under the gadget you wish to add.

      Enter the desired "Display settings" including the title for your widget.

      Click the "Preview changes" button to see how the gadget will appear.

      Click the "Get the code" button. The HTML source code of the widget is displayed.

      Copy and paste the gadget HTML code into your webpage's source code.
