How to Create Amazon Affiliate Links
Amazon has one of the oldest and most widely used affiliate programs online. Because it is easy and free to join, webmasters and bloggers can immediately try out the program and start making money. To be eligible for commissions through the Amazon affiliate program, sign up for a free account and use your affiliate ID in your product links. Choose the type of link that best fits on your website.

1
Go to the Amazon Affiliate Program website and join the program with your existing Amazon account (see Resources). During registration, supply information about the website where you intend to use Amazon affiliate links, and create an affiliate ID.
-
2
Log in to your Amazon Affiliate Program account. Point the mouse cursor to "Links and Banners" on the menu bar at the top of the page and click "Product Links." The "Product Search" page opens.
-
-
3
Click the "Tracking ID" list on the left and select the tracking ID you want to use if you have more than one. You do not have to choose if you have just registered and have only one tracking ID.
-
4
Use the search filters to narrow down your search for products. For example, choose "Amazon" from the "Search" list and "Books" from the "Within" list to limit your search for books in the Amazon store.
-
5
Enter a keyword, ASIN or ISBN of the item you are looking for. For example, "affiliate program guide." Click "Go." The "Select Product" page opens and displays the results of your query.
-
6
Review the search results. To find what you need, sort the items by relevance, price, bestseller status, user reviews or publication date. When you see an item you want to sell, click "Get Link." This takes you to the customization page where you can get the affiliate link code.
-
7
Choose the type of affiliate link to use. By default, Amazon offers a text-and-image product link, which displays a picture of the item along with a link and purchase information. If you prefer a text-only link, click "Text Only." To display an Amazon widget on your site, click "Add to Widget."
-
8
Click "Highlight HTML" if you chose "Text and Image" or "Text Only," and "Save and Get Code" if you chose "Widget." This displays the code for your affiliate product link. Select and copy the affiliate link code.
-
9
Open the Web page where you want to add the affiliate link to. Copy and paste the code. Save and upload the page to your Web host.
