How to Test a FedEx Tracking ID
When you ship a package or letter with FedEx, you don't have to sit around wondering if it arrived. You can track the shipment with a 15-digit tracking number FedEx automatically assigns to every package, and you can test the tracking number on FedEx's website. If you shipped the package, you will find the tracking number on your shipment receipt or under "Manage" on your online FedEx account. If you are waiting for a package, ask the shipper for the tracking number so you can check the status of your shipment.

Tips & Warnings
If you plan to test the tracking number more than once, check the "Save your tracking numbers" box beneath the "Track by Tracking Number" box so you don't have to re-enter the number every time you check.
Shipment status might not be available for a few hours after the package information was entered into the system, so don't be alarmed if the status only reads "Initiated" during the first several hours after shipment.
