How to Disable UAC
User account control, or UAC, is a security feature that was introduced in Microsoft's Windows Vista operating system. The UAC component asks users for permission before tasks that can change the computer, such as installing a new program, are completed. The UAC component can prevent malicious programs from changing your computer's settings without your knowledge. You can disable UAC if the program prompts you frequently and interrupts your daily work. You can enable the UAC component at any time.

Click the "Start" menu and select "Control Panel."
