How to Remove a Shower Head Ball
If your shower head won't adjust anymore and just falls down, the ball has worn out and must be replaced. The shower head ball has a nut on it that threads to the end threads on the shower arm. Removal and disassembly of the shower head will make it possible for you to remove the shower head ball. The shower head ball is the part of the shower head assembly that allows the shower head to pivot in a circular motion. Does this Spark an idea?

Hold the backside of the shower head with your left hand and hold the frontside with your right.

Twist the back side clockwise while twisting the front side counterclockwise. Continue twisting until the front side of the shower head is removed. You'll be able to see the shower head ball after the front side piece has been removed.

Wrap the nut that holds the shower head ball to the shower arm with a rag.

Grip the nut with a pair of pliers and twist it counterclockwise to loosen it. Use your fingers to complete the removal.

Push the shower head ball down through the back piece of the shower head. The fastening nut and ball should both come through in one piece.

Tips & Warnings
Remove the shower head ball only when the floor of the shower is dry to avoid a fall.
