Draw a long, thin oval; this is the opening of your mug. Draw a second, smaller oval under the first one. Erase the top half of this oval to make a semi-circle.

Sketch straight or curved lines -- connecting the top and bottom -- to create the shape of the mug. Draw a half-circle on the side of the mug to form the handle.

Add dimension to the handle by drawing the same shape inside the first one. Sketch some curved lines coming out of the mug, representing steam.
