How to Make Super Straight Hair Wavy
Natural, straight hair often appears limp and lifeless without extensive styling effort. Things You'll Need
- Clean bed sheet
- Scissors
- Wave-inducing shampoo and conditioner
- Hairbrush

Cut a clean bed sheet into 30 to 50 strips, 7 to 9 inches in length and 2 to 3 inches in width, with sharp scissors.

Wash your hair with wave-inducing shampoo and conditioner. Make sure to rinse all of the products from your hair as they can weigh it down and prevent waves from taking.

Brush your hair out carefully, removing all tangles that might have occurred while washing it. According to Philip Kingsley, author of "The Hair Bible," removing tangles will make curling more effective.

Separate a 2-inch section of your hair, at the front of your head. Loosely wrap the hair around a strip of fabric, beginning with the tips and rolling up to the roots. Tie the ends of the fabric strip together to hold it in place once rolled to the roots.

Continue this process with 2-inch sections of hair until you have covered your entire head.

Let your hair dry overnight with the fabric curlers in place and remove them in the morning. Begin by untying the ends and carefully unwrapping the hair from around them.

Brush your hair out softly to smooth the waves, completing the look.
