Learn to bunny hop. Before you can begin learning how to do a bar spin on the scooter you must learn how to make the scooter do a bunny hop. In scooter lingo, a bunny hop refers to making the scooter bounce straight off the ground. To perform this trick stand on scooter's platform holding on to the bars. Push your weight down hard, then pull up hard and fast. With practice, you can make the wheels pop up off the ground both while standing still, and while traveling.

Learn to spin the handle bar. Standing with one foot on the scooter, and the other foot on the ground do a bunny hop and spin the handle bar, catching it before the scooter hits the ground. You can also practice this technique by just raising the front wheel in a wheelie position while the back wheel stays on the ground. Continue to practice until you can spin and catch the handle bar every time without missing.

Practice at low speeds until you build your confidence, then pick up speed and keep practicing until you can do a bar spin without even slowing down.
