How to Add Multiple People to a Twitter List

Twitter lists enable you to only look at the feeds you want.

Having trouble keeping up with everybody you follow on Twitter? Creating Twitter lists can help you to organize your favorite feeds. Rather than having everybody's tweets all in one feed, you can make categories to keep them separate, such as "Friends," "Workmates" or "Celebrities." Though there is no batch function for creating lists, meaning that you cannot add more than one Twitter user at a time, there is no limit to how many people you can put on a list. Once your list is set up, adding users takes just a click of the mouse.

Instructions

    • 1

Log into your Twitter account. Click the "Listed" link in the right sidebar, located below "Your Tweets" and "Following." This will load a display of lists that follow you in the main panel.

    • 2

Click on the "Lists" tab. Select "Create a list." A pop-up window entitled "Create a new list" will appear. Type a list name and description into the provided text fields. Select whether you would like your list to be public or private. Click "Save."

    • 3

Type a user name into the text field labeled "Find people to add to your list." Click "Search." A list of search results will appear. Alternatively, you can click the blue "Following" link below the text field to bring up a list of Twitter users you currently follow.

Select the small drop-down menu icon to the right of the "Follow" or "Following" button beside a user name. Check the box next to the name of your list to add the user. You may repeat this for as many users as you wish.
