1
Remove the screw on cap from the top of a 2-liter soda bottle.
-
2
Hold the soda bottle by the side. Cut the top off the bottle 6 inches below the top with the knife blade or scissors. Make the cut as even as possible around the bottle.
-
-
3
Turn the narrow top of the bottle and insert it into the bottom of the 2-liter bottle. Push the top in until the cut edge of the top and bottom align.
-
4
Punch holes 1 inch apart around the side of the bottle. Use the punch or small screwdriver on the multitool to make the hole through both the top and bottom pieces of plastic.
-
5
Lace small diameter string through the holes to connect the top and bottom of the bottle together. Leave the ends of string long and tie them together to form a loop for attaching the trap to a stump, rock or other anchored object.
-
6
Place one or two small pieces of hotdog into the trap as bait for crawfish. Place the trap in the water along a bank or in shallow slow moving water. Allow the trap to sit undisturbed for several hours or overnight to attract and catch crawfish.
