Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

    • 2

Prepare whole tomatoes by rinsing and removing the stems.

    • 3

Lightly oil the roasting pan with olive oil and brush each tomato with the oil as well.

    • 4

Place the roasting pan with the tomatoes in the oven on the middle rack and allow it to roast for 10 minutes.

    • 5

Check the skins to see if any have started to crack after 10 minutes. If not, leave in for another 10 minutes, until the tomato skins start to crack slightly.

    • 6

Remove the tomatoes and allow them to cool.

    • 7

Gently peel off the skin of the roasted tomatoes, starting where they have begun to crack. The heated tomato skins should come off easily using your fingers.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can also roast the tomatoes on a grill for a more smoky roasted flavor by placing the roast pan directly on a charcoal grill.
