For many people, headphones are a constant accessory. But things that you use every day -- particularly things that you put in your ears -- can get extremely dirty. Grime can ruin the look of your headphones and even lead to ear infections. Fortunately, most Skullcandy headphones include removable silicone buds, which makes the cleaning process simple and safe.
Step 1
Remove the silicone buds from the headphones by pulling them straight up off the speaker posts. They are not threaded, so do not twist or try to unscrew them. Gently clean out the central holes using a cotton swab moistened with rubbing alcohol. Do not push the swab all the way down into the hole, which could stretch the bud and ruin the fit.

Clean the rest of the bud using a lint-free cloth moistened with rubbing alcohol. For best results, the cloth should be damp but not saturated.
Step 3
Wipe down the plastic headphone casing with the cloth. Avoid the hole at the end of the speaker post, as any alcohol which drips into the casing may damage the speakers.
Step 4
Gently scrub the end of the speaker post with a dry toothbrush to remove any dirt or grime. Hold the toothbrush underneath the headphones so that any dirt dislodged falls away from the hole, not down inside.
Step 5
Replace silicone buds.
