How to Track a Piece of Mail
The United States Postal Service (USPS) offers mailing options so consumers can track their mail. If you are expecting mail that was sent with a tracking number, you can track the shipment from the time it leaves its point of origin until the time it arrives in your mailbox or post office. A letter or shipment can be tracked online through the USPS website by entering the tracking number. If you ordered from an online website, you will likely receive a tracking number via email; otherwise, you must obtain the tracking number from the sender to view the status of your shipment.
