How to Make Natural Mosquito Spray From Herbs
You may have concerns about the personal health and environmental effects of the chemicals that are found in commercial insect sprays. If you want to make sure you're covered when it comes to repelling mosquitoes, but you want to stick to natural methods, make your own repellent spray using fresh herbs or natural herbal oils. Things You'll Need
- Garlic cloves
- Cayenne pepper
- Strainer
- Water
- Spray bottle
- Lemon oil
- Peppermint oil
- Eucalyptus oil
- Lemongrass oil
Instructions

Garlic Spray

Combine four cloves of garlic with one cayenne pepper using a food processor or blender.

Add 2 cups of water to the mixture and let it steep for 15 minutes.

Strain the garlic mix into a pump sprayer, and throw away the solid parts of the herbs.

Spray the mixture on the skin. Refrigerate what is left, which should remain good for about a week.
Herbal Oil Spray

Drop six drops each of lemon oil, peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil and lemongrass oil into a plastic sprayer bottle.

Fill the rest of the bottle with water and shake it gently to combine the oils and water.

Spray the mixture on the skin. Reapply as needed.
