How to Format an SD Card for a Nokia 6085

The Nokia 6085 lets you take pictures wherever you go.

The Nokia 6085 cell phone features a digital camera with 4x zoom, as well as a video recorder, allowing you to capture dozens of images and video clips. If you take many pictures, inserting a microSD card into the Nokia 6085 allows you to increase the storage capacity on the phone. If your microSD card is not new and has other files stored on it, you may want to format the card before using it for photo and video storage.

Instructions

1. Locate the memory card holder door on the side of the phone and slide your fingernail underneath it to lift it up.

2. Slide the microSD card into the memory card holder with the gold contacts face up. Press the memory card holder door down to close it.

3. Highlight and select "Menu," then select "Gallery." Scroll down until you reach the memory card folder.

4. Select "Options" and then scroll to and select "Format mem. card." All data on the card is erased when it is formatted.

Tips & Warnings

• If you want to keep the files already stored on the memory card, save them to your computer before formatting.
