How to Protect Drying Nail Polish While You Sleep

Things You'll Need
- Nail polish remover
- Nail clippers and/or file
- Nail buffer
- Soap
- Water
- Nail polish
- Quick dry top coat
- Quick dry spray or drops

Remove old nail polish with nail polish remover.

Use a nail file or clipper to trim nails.
Buff fingernails then rinse residue with a gentle soap.

Dry hands and nails completely before applying nail polish.

Brush nail color over clean, manicured fingernails.

Allow the first layer of nail polish to dry completely before painting a second layer of nail polish.
Let your nails dry for 15 to 20 minutes between coats to make sure that each layer has had time to cure.

Apply a "quick dry" top coat over your final layer of nail polish.

Apply a "quick dry" spray or liquid drops.

After five minutes, lightly touch nails to make sure they're dry before you lay down to go to sleep.

Sleep on your back with your hands down to your sides.
