How to Help a Guy Approach a Woman He is Interested In
Some guys get it and some guys don't. There are no rules for winning over women. Some women like a certain approach and some will throw a drink in a guy's face. If you're tasked with helping your buddy approach a woman he's got his eye on, prep him for being approachable in hopes that his natural persona will attract the one he wants.

Establish his intentions. Figure out what he wants out of a successful experience with the lucky lady. Decide if he's most focused on just approaching her for a chat or if he's ready to dive in head first and ask for a date. Prepare him for her responses by giving him sample scenarios. Consider the mood she might be in so that he's not disappointed if he doesn't hit a home run.

Prepare to put his best foot forward. Get him physically prepared once you've figured out his mental state for approaching his love interest. Review his image to see if he's in need of a fresh look before he heads out. Book an appointment for a haircut and facial trimming, and be sure his attire is proper. Let him know that as common as it is for guys to judge women on their looks, women do the same, and therefore he'll want to make a good first impression.

Test his conversational prowess. Role play a bit so he can work out the kinks before he approaches her. Be sure he's not totally missing the mark by wanting to start off with a pick-up line or corny joke. Check his level of confidence; shy is an attractive trait but blatant insecurity is a turn off. Give him general topics he might discuss so that he doesn't allow nerves to freeze his ability to strike up a decent conversation.

Send him out there. Tell him the only way he's going to do it is if he tries. Give him the final pat on the back to explore his options and head right over to her. Let him know that if he strikes out, he shouldn't consider that a final answer. Depending on her tone and message, he may still have a shot at approaching her and gaining her interest.
